Accident and liability insurance are mandatory insurances that all cars in Iceland, which are registered with a number plate, must have. This mandatory insurance compensates for damage that your car causes to a third party (liability damage).

Your deductible for liability damages is paid according to the provisions in your insurance certificate, which was sent to you by email at the beginning of the insurance period.
