If the car is at Krókur for a longer or shorter period of time, you can take off the license plates to save on insurance fees and vehicle taxes.

When the vehicle’s license plates are taken off, you must inform us via email or phone, and we will cancel the insurance from the date Samgöngustofa receives the plates.
