No, nor do we want to. Your driving data is only stored securely on your device and is never sent to Verna.

What can Verna see about my driving?

  • Your overall driving score

  • Your driving sub-scores (speed, smoothness, focus, time of day, rest)

  • Amount of kilometers driven

  • Amount of trips

How do you calculate the driving score?

The Verna app on your phone sends your trips in an encrypted and unidentifiable manner to our telematics partner The Floow, who calculate your driving scores. They can't see who was driving, they only evaluate the riskiness of your driving.

Can I trust Verna?

We've put a lot of effort into securing our customer’s data privacy. We've created a thorough Privacy Policy with our legal team and we have followed published guidance from the Icelandic Privacy Protection Agency. Access to data is strictly controlled internally and only very few are allowed access to data concerning to the driving score.

It is important to note that Verna will never sell customer data to third parties. Verna will furthermore never use any data collected (this includes the driving score) to assess accidents. This also means that Verna will never use data for criminal assessments.

Who are The Floow?

Verna is in collaboration with the British telematics company The Floow, which specialises in interpreting smartphone data into driving scores. The Floow works with many of the world’s largest insurance companies in accessing risks and interpreting driving data. Verna does not share any personal identifiable data with Floow.
