Here are some Android and device specific settings that need to be set for the Verna app to work and track properly.

Huawei App Locking
1. Please open recent apps by swiping up or selecting the button opposite to 'Back'.
2. Please find a padlock icon next to the app in the list of recent apps.
3. If this padlock appears unlocked, please tap it to lock the app.
4. If left unlocked, the app will not function correctly when the screen is off.

Huawei App Launch Settings
1. Open the 'Settings' app and search for the 'Launch' category.
2. If 'Manage all automatically' is enabled, locate the app and toggle the switch to manage manually.
3. In the screen that appears, ensure 'Auto-launch', 'Secondary launch' and 'Run in background' are enabled.

Location permissions
1. Find the app in the Android Settings app, select it to open the app info screen.
2. Select 'Permissions' on the app info screen.
3. Select 'Location' from the list of permissions.
4. Select 'Allow all the time'. Selecting 'Allow only while in use' will prevent the app from recording long-term.

System Battery Optimisations
1. Find the app in the Android Settings app, select it to open the app info screen.
2. Select 'Battery' from the list of options.
3. Select 'Battery optimisation'
4. Select the 'Not optimised' drop-down menu and change it to 'All apps'

2. Locate a battery button with a plus symbol in the center.
3. This button should be disabled or the app will not function correctly.

1. Find the app in the Android Settings app, select it to open the app info screen.
2. Select 'Permissions' on the app info screen.
3. Select 'Physical Activity' from the list of permissions. On the next screen, select 'Allow'.

Location Services
